Potato Milk Spot-Lightening Mask
Potato's catecholase enzymes are folk-remedy staples for spot lightening, and this mask pairs them with lemon juice's mild acidity and kaolin clay's gentle absorbency for a three-part approach to hyperpigmentation.

Ingredients
- Phase A (Aqueous Enzyme Phase)
- 2 tbsp (30 mL / 30g) Fresh Unsweetened Potato Milk (Solanum tuberosum)
- Phase B (Botanical Lightening Matrix)
- 1 tbsp (8g) White Kaolin Clay
- ½ tsp (2.5 mL) Fresh Lemon Juice
Method & application
- Combine kaolin clay and fresh potato milk in a small non-metallic ceramic dish.
- Add fresh lemon juice and stir with a wooden spatula until a smooth, thick paste forms.
- APPLICATION
- Apply directly to dark spots or across the entire face using a mask brush.
- Leave on for 10–12 minutes until partially set.
- Rinse thoroughly with cool water and pat dry.
Kitchen note
Grate or juice the potato milk fresh right before mixing, not earlier in the day, enzyme activity is highest in the first few minutes after extraction, and this mask's effectiveness depends on that freshness window.
