Oat Milk Cleansing Bar
This is the oat milk section's answer to the Goat Milk Soap (Section 2, Recipe 13), built the same melt-and-pour way but with rolled oats folded in for gentle texture rather than a pure smooth bar, ideal for delicate skin that still wants a light physical component without a true scrub's intensity.

Ingredients
- Phase A (Meltable Soap Base)
- 1 lb (454g) White Melt-and-Pour Soap Base
- Phase B (Active Additives)
- 2 tbsp (15g) Oat Milk Powder
- 2 tbsp (14g) Finely Ground Rolled Oats
- 1 tbsp (15 mL / 21g) Raw Honey
Method & application
- Dice melt-and-pour soap base into 1-inch cubes and melt in a double boiler over medium heat.
- In a small cup, slurry oat milk powder and raw honey together with 1 tsp warm water.
- Remove soap base from heat when fully melted (approximately 60°C). Whisk in the milk-honey slurry.
- Fold in ground rolled oats until evenly distributed.
- Pour mixture slowly into silicone molds. Spray surface lightly with 70% isopropyl alcohol to clear foam.
- Allow bars to cool and harden for 2 hours before unmolding.
- APPLICATION
- Work into a warm lather between wet hands. Massage gently across body skin and rinse thoroughly.
Kitchen note
Watch for the soap base to develop a faint 'skin' on its surface as it cools, that visual cue, more than a thermometer reading, is the most reliable sign it's ready for the oats to go in without sinking.
