Oat Milk Baby-Gentle Wash
This is the mildest wash in the entire book by design, formulated with the fewest and gentlest possible ingredients and no essential oils or fragrance whatsoever, appropriate for infant or ultra-reactive adult skin where fragrance and actives are both liabilities rather than benefits.
By Aunesty Janssen · The Big Book of Milk & Garden Beauty: 156 Natural Recipes for Skin & Hair Using Alternative Milks & Everyday Pantry Ingredients
Ingredients
- Phase A (Aqueous Phase)
- ¼ cup (60 mL / 60g) Liquid Oat Milk
- Phase B (Mild Cleansing Phase)
- 2 tbsp (30 mL / 30g) Unscented Liquid Castile Soap
- Phase C (Antioxidant / Lipid)
- 1 tsp (5 mL / 4.5g) Vitamin E Oil (Tocopherol)
Method & application
- Combine liquid oat milk and Vitamin E oil in a small glass beaker.
- Drizzle in unscented castile soap slowly.
- Mix gently with a spoon to prevent bubbling.
- Decant into a sanitized foam-pump dispenser or soft squeeze bottle.
- APPLICATION
- Pump onto a soft wet cotton cloth or sponge. Gently wipe delicate skin and rinse with lukewarm bathwater.
Kitchen note
Using a foam-pump bottle specifically (not just any squeeze bottle) noticeably improves lather quality while avoiding the need for synthetic surfactants that boost foam in commercial baby washes.
