Macadamia Milk Restorative Hair Mask
Macadamia oil's uniquely high omega-7 (palmitoleic acid) content mimics natural human scalp sebum more closely than any other oil used in this book, which lets it penetrate deep into the hair shaft cortex rather than simply coating the surface, a real advantage for coarse, over-processed, or chemically treated hair.

Ingredients
- Phase A (Aqueous Phase)
- ½ cup (120 mL / 120g) Unsweetened Macadamia Milk (Macadamia integrifolia)
- Phase B (Lipid Phase)
- 2 tbsp (30 mL / 28g) Cold-Pressed Macadamia Nut Oil
- Phase C (Humectant Phase)
- 1 tbsp (15 mL / 21g) Raw Honey
Method & application
- Combine unsweetened macadamia milk and raw honey in a glass beaker; whisk until honey is dissolved.
- Slowly pour macadamia nut oil into the mixture while whisking vigorously to create a rich liquid emulsion.
- APPLICATION
- Apply generously to damp, clean hair, focusing on mid-lengths and split ends.
- Comb through with a wide-tooth comb to ensure uniform coverage.
- Leave on for 20 minutes under a shower cap. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and shampoo lightly.
Kitchen note
Comb through with a wide-tooth comb before covering, not after, this ensures the oil is distributed evenly through every strand before the shower cap traps in heat and humidity.
