Simple Vanilla Donut Glaze
Powdered sugar whisked with a splash of rice milk and vanilla extract for a quick, glossy glaze.
By Aunesty Janssen · The Arrogant Hippie Culinary Journal: Rice Milk Edition
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar
- 3 to 4 tbsp Rice Milk
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
Method
- Whisk the powdered sugar and 3 tablespoons rice milk together until smooth.
- Add the vanilla extract.
- Adjust consistency with an additional tablespoon of rice milk if a thinner glaze is desired.
- Dip donuts or pastries directly into the glaze, or drizzle over the top.
- Let set at room temperature for about 15 minutes before serving.
Kitchen note
Rice milk's thin body makes this glaze easy to thin further if needed, but go slowly, a little goes a long way compared to a thicker milk, and it's easy to over-pour past a good dipping consistency.
