Matcha Green Tea Ice Pops
A vibrant, refreshing frozen treat made with ceremonial matcha and rice milk.
By Aunesty Janssen · The Arrogant Hippie Culinary Journal: Rice Milk Edition
Ingredients
- 2 cups Rice Milk
- 2 tbsp Matcha Powder, sifted
- 1/3 cup Sugar
- Pinch of Salt
Method
- Whisk a small amount of the rice milk into the sifted matcha powder to form a smooth paste.
- Whisk in the remaining rice milk, sugar, and salt until fully combined.
- Pour into popsicle molds.
- Insert sticks and freeze for a minimum of 6 hours, or until completely solid.
- Dip molds briefly in warm water to release the popsicles before serving.
Kitchen note
Rice milk's clean, light flavor lets the matcha come through clearly, without the heavier fat of a nut or dairy milk muting the tea's natural grassy brightness.
