By Aunesty Janssen · The Arrogant Hippie Culinary Journal: Rice Milk Edition
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 1/2 cups Rice Milk
- 2 large Eggs
- 1/3 cup Melted Butter or Oil
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
Method
- Preheat a waffle iron. Whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt together.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the rice milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
- Fold the wet ingredients into the dry just until combined.
- Ladle batter onto the preheated waffle iron and cook according to manufacturer's instructions until deep golden and crisp.
- Serve warm with maple syrup.
Kitchen note
These will brown noticeably faster and deeper than a version made with a less sugary milk, check for doneness a minute or two earlier than your waffle iron's usual timing.
