By Aunesty Janssen · The Arrogant Hippie Culinary Journal: Rice Milk Edition
Ingredients
- 2 cups Water
- 3 Black Tea Bags
- 5 Cardamom Pods, crushed
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 1 cup Cold Rice Milk
- Ice, for serving
Method
- Bring the water to a boil with the crushed cardamom pods. Simmer 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat, add the tea bags, and steep 4 to 5 minutes.
- Strain the tea, stir in the honey while still warm, and cool completely.
- Fill a glass with ice and pour in the cooled tea.
- Top with cold rice milk and stir gently before drinking.
Kitchen note
Rice milk's thin body makes it an easy pour-over topper for iced tea, it blends into the glass without needing vigorous shaking the way a thicker milk would.
