By Aunesty Janssen · The Arrogant Hippie Culinary Journal: Coconut Milk Edition
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Ground Turmeric
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/3 cup Canned Coconut Milk, well shaken
- 2 tbsp Honey
Method
- Combine the turmeric and water in a small saucepan and whisk into a smooth paste.
- Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, for 7 to 8 minutes until thickened into a paste.
- Stir in the black pepper.
- Remove from heat and whisk in the coconut milk and honey until fully combined.
- Cool and store in a sealed jar in the refrigerator; use within 2 weeks, stirring 1 to 2 tablespoons into warm milk for a golden latte.
Kitchen note
This concentrate is meant to be potent and intense on its own — it's built to be diluted into a full mug of warm milk later, not consumed directly at this strength.
