Camel Milk Cardamom Rose Latte
A fragrant, botanical latte inspired by the same cardamom and rose profile used in the panna cotta recipe.
By Aunesty Janssen · The Arrogant Hippie Culinary Journal: Camel Milk Edition
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups Camel Milk
- 1/2 tsp Ground Cardamom
- 1/4 tsp Pure Rose Water
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 1 shot Espresso or 1/4 cup Strong Brewed Coffee, optional
Method
- Warm the camel milk gently in a saucepan over low heat with the ground cardamom, whisking continuously.
- Once gently steaming, remove from heat and whisk in the honey until dissolved.
- Stir in the rose water, adding it off the heat to preserve its delicate aroma.
- Froth the mixture briefly for a light foam.
- Pour over espresso if using, or enjoy on its own as a caffeine-free evening ritual.
Kitchen note
Add the rose water sparingly and always off the heat. It is a potent ingredient, and heat can quickly push its flavor from floral to soapy.
