Hemp Milk Bath Soak
The same dry bath soak logic used throughout this book, positioned here for eczema-prone and inflamed skin thanks to hemp's essential fatty acid content, plus Epsom salt's magnesium for sore, tense muscles, a genuine dual-purpose soothing soak.
By Aunesty Janssen · The Big Book of Milk & Garden Beauty: 156 Natural Recipes for Skin & Hair Using Alternative Milks & Everyday Pantry Ingredients
Ingredients
- Phase A (Dry Phase)
- 1 cup (120g) Hemp Milk Powder
- ½ cup (120g) Epsom Salt (Magnesium Sulfate)
- Phase B (Aromatic)
- 5 drops Pure Lavender Essential Oil (Lavandula angustifolia)
Method & application
- Combine hemp milk powder and Epsom salt in a dry mixing bowl and whisk until uniform.
- Drizzle lavender essential oil over powder drop-by-drop while whisking continuously.
- Transfer into an airtight glass storage jar.
- APPLICATION
- Pour ½ cup into warm bath water and stir with hand to dissolve. Soak for 20 minutes.
Kitchen note
For sore muscles specifically, soak for the full 20 minutes rather than cutting it short, magnesium absorption through skin is a slow process that benefits from the longer soak time.
