Ingredients
- Phase A (Aqueous / Active)
- 3 tbsp (45 mL / 45g) Liquid Camel Milk
- Phase B (Botanical / Thickener)
- 1 tsp (5 mL / 7g) Raw Honey
- ½ tsp (1.5g) Ground Turmeric (Curcuma longa)
- 1 tsp (3g) Plain Oats, finely ground (Avena sativa)
Method & application
- In a small glass beaker or ceramic bowl, sanitize all mixing utensils with 70% isopropyl alcohol.
- Add the finely ground oats and ground turmeric to the bowl.
- Pour in the raw honey and liquid camel milk.
- Using a mini silicone spatula, whisk vigorously until a uniform, smooth paste forms.
- Allow the mixture to sit for 2 minutes to let the oat fiber hydrate and swell slightly.
- APPLICATION
- Cleanse face thoroughly with a mild cleanser and pat dry.
- Apply an even layer across the face using a soft brush, avoiding the immediate eye and lip contours.
- Leave on for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water, using gentle circular motions to benefit from the mild oat physical exfoliation. Follow with toner and moisturizer.
Kitchen note
Grind the oats fresh in a clean coffee or spice grinder right before mixing. Pre-ground oat flour from the pantry works, but a fresh grind releases more of the oat's natural saponins, which noticeably improves how smoothly the mask spreads.
