Cook with confidence
Before you start
Rosewater Is Potent
Brands vary enormously, so taste after the first 1/4 teaspoon before adding more.
Sweetener Choice
Sugar keeps the floral profile clean; mild honey adds complexity but can compete with rose.
Ice Is an Ingredient
Start with very cold milk and hard ice so dilution remains low.
Make-Ahead
Mix and chill the base several hours ahead, but pour over ice only when serving.
Kitchen note
Rosewater brands vary enormously in strength, always start with less than you think you need and add gradually, since too much reads as soapy rather than floral.
