Ingredients
- 1/2 cup white quinoa, rinsed very well
- 1 1/2 cups camel milk
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- Pinch fine salt
- 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1 cup fresh berries
Method
- Rinse quinoa under cold running water in a fine sieve for at least 30 seconds; drain well.
- Combine quinoa, camel milk, water, cinnamon and salt in a saucepan.
- Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, then reduce to low and cover.
- Cook 15 to 18 minutes until grains open and most liquid is absorbed, keeping heat low enough to prevent scorching.
- Remove from heat and leave covered 5 minutes, then fluff gently and stir in maple syrup.
- Serve with berries and a splash of camel milk if you prefer a looser cereal texture.

Cook With Confidence
Use the sensory cues in the method rather than treating the clock as the only measure of doneness.
Ingredient Intelligence
Camel milk is handled gently throughout these recipes; avoid unnecessary hard boiling and make liquid adjustments in small increments.
Make-Ahead & Storage
Refrigerate promptly in covered containers. Keep crisp toppings and fresh fruit separate until service so texture survives.
Serving Strategy
Balance creamy bases with something fresh, crisp, tart, toasted, or aromatic rather than simply adding more sweetness or richness.
Kitchen note
Keep the simmer gentle rather than a hard boil, camel milk holds up fine at a controlled simmer, but a rolling boil for this long risks the milk breaking against the pot's direct heat.
